In their fresh act of state terrorism, Indian troops martyred three youth in youth in Shopian district as atmosphere of fear, uncertainty curfew entered into 169th consecutive day in Indian Occupied Kashmir (IoK).

The troops used heavy weapons and chemical gunpowder and destroyed a house during a cordon and search operation in Wachi Letter area of the district. Three youth were killed in the operation, which is underway, according to the police.

The Indian forces have blocked all entry and exit points and have started house-to-house searches in the area.

Indian authorities have further intensified restrictions in IoK in the name of security during a visit by a group of Indian ministers to the territory. People are forced to stay indoors and vehicular movement is largely restricted during the ongoing military lockdown and internet blackout on the 169th consecutive day.

“The mobile internet connectivity shall, however, remain suspended in the districts of Srinagar, Budgam, Ganderbal, Baramulla, Anantnag (Islamabad), Kulgam, Shopian and Pulwama,” the newspaper said quoting the notification issued by Shaleen Kabra, Principal Secretary in the administration.

Meanwhile, the Indian authorities imposed further restrictions in the name of security for the visiting group of Indian ministers to the occupied territory. All vehicles are stopped at all checkpoints and undergo thorough scrutiny, while pedestrians are not allowed to move freely in both Kashmir valley and Jammu region.
